I have been carefully saving my entire original elfquest series for the day that I may have a child old enough to love them. I was only 7 years old when I started reading them in 1979. It was a turning point in my young life. Well, last month I carefull unwrapped my beloved collection and started reading them to my 8 year old daughter. She LOVED them. She was so captivated and respectful and excited. In fact, she was a Go Back for Halloween! What a joy. 25 years later, to share the gift of ElfQuest with the most precious person in my world!

Sat, November 11, 2006 - 7:45 AMThat's awesome to hear! I first read Elfquest in a book store when I was 12... we were poor and my mom couldn't afford to give us $80 bucks for the graphic novels (they were in circulation at the time) so I would sit in the bookstore and read the hardcover color graphic novels...it was the most enchanting comic story I had ever read, I think I read almost all eight of them...I now own four, two hardcover graphic novels, and two softcover, but the other half of the collection I dont want until I can get them in the same hardcover graphic novel format. its great to hear of a child embracing the stories that have been loved for years already!

Wed, December 27, 2006 - 9:45 PMYES! That is the coolest. I read EQ to my kids too and they love it as much as I did, well still do. My 6 year old daughter knows all of the elves names and thinks Picknose is funny.
Right On!
